WTN: Chanson '05 Chambolle-Musigny

Had this wine once before at "FIG" in Charleston, SC. It was great then and if anything even better now. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. I'm not sure, but I think the retail is about $55, I know we paid about $90 off the wine list at the restaurant. Lots of fresh black fruit, evolved tannins and a mouthful of juicy creamy wine. Unmistakeably Burgundy, unmistakeably Cotes de Nuits. The Iron first in a velvet glove. I am finishing the bottle tonight, four days after opening, where a blind tasting clearly put it ahead of a Maltroye '06 Chassagne-Montrechet 1er Cru and an '09 Latour Marsannay (which was a Best Buy and mighty tasty). Chason has usually impressed me though I have limited experience. Limited supply here in Columbia, SC.
