Tried last night for dinner:
1. Domaine Rostaing Syrah LesLezandes VdP des CollinesRhodaniennes (12.5%) 2007: Dark color; beautiful NorthernRhone/roasted/espresso/pungent some blackberry/Syrah some graphite/mineral/WWII beacon/earthy complex nose; fairly tart bit tannic/angular/hard strong NR/roasted/espresso bit graphite/mineral light blackberry/Syrah quite structured classic NR flavor; very long somewhat tannic/hard/austere classic NR/roasted/espresso bit graphite/mineral/earthy finish; needs several yrs of age yet; not the fruit/violets/floral Syrah character of a C-R and harder/more tannic than a StJ, but great NR character at a great price. $30.00
