WTN: Sileni Cellar Selection Pinot Gris 2010

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Aug 08, 2011 9:05 am

Hawkes Bay, North Island

Dark yellow/light gold in the glass.

Spicy, tangy on the nose.

Medium weight, spicy, pear, green apple, tangy, good acidity, mouthwatering, round and full in the mouth, with a bitter citrus rind bite.

With time, the bitter citrus rind dominated, overshadowing the apple and pear.

Mouthwatering, bitter citrus rind on the finish.

Just an okay wine and I don't recall any other PG I have enjoyed to have had such a citrus rind bite to it.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
