Tried last night w/ dinner:

RockWren Syrah GreenVlly/SolanoCnty (14.8%; www.RockWrenWines.com; U/U) D.T.DeDomenico/Proprietor/SuisunCity 2007: Dark color; strong earthy/graphite/smokey/loamy rather plummy/blackberry/Syrah bit alcoholic/fumey interesting nose; very soft bit soupy slightly sharp/tannic strong plummy/licorice/RCCola/blackberry/Syrah bit hot/alcoholic flavor; med. strong plummy/ripe/blackberry/Syrah bit hot/alcoholic/fumey some licorice/pungent/loamy light toasty/oak bit tannic/bitey/sharp finish; lots of ripe/plummy character and some alcoholic/hot. $24.00 (WoP)

Nope, Jenise.....first time for me for RockWren. I was interested in trying it because
1. it was a new producer and I wanted to be able to brag.."I followed 'em from the very start", and
2. I want to see if GreenVlly/SolanoCnty is capable of great wine. Data thus far says "no".
