Delicious. If one were being generous one might even say it is approaching silkiness.

A bit darker than I expected (the vintage?) but then who knows where I got my expectations.

I don't really know Rollin, but the good Jay Miller opened a very nice 1er rouge at a dinner at La Sirene.
Sounds like I should try more

I've only had a few bottles of Rollin but have been wanting to try more after hearing such positive things from various people with similar tastes, including Jay.

Well another bottle last night was nowhere near as delicious.

Still dark, but overpowered with a pungency that was not welcome and didn't go away with air. Not brett, not TCA, not reduction. Stemminess? Rot? I don't know, but I didn't like it.

Oh well.
