WTN: Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2007

by David Lole » Fri Jul 29, 2011 9:48 am

Such a beautiful wine. Aromatics of white flowers, sea breeze, minerals and green melon followed by an equally impressive palate - stunning line and tightly coiled holding amazing tension with a dazzling flinty minerality. Minute by minute this exceptional wine unfolds to reveal a little more nuance, another twist or turn and eventually more depth of mouth-quenching green fruit whilst remaining true to its prestigious terrior and appellation with a riveting stony finish riddled with spine-tingling acidity and completing a wonderful vinous experience. 95 points
Cheers,

2007 Fevre can hit such high notes - so focused with incredible balance and depth. My tastes have been shifting slightly away from Les Clos' brighter character and more towards the leaner Les Preuses.
