Congratulations to David, Jamie, and staff on their 10th anniversary

Good article about my favorite store, but one thing that isn't a focus of article is how outstanding the customer service (beyond recommendations) is.

Nor did he mention how convenient the new location is to customers arriving by the 2 train. :D Otherwise, a nice piece.

The new location is indeed probably a good 75 ft closer to the subway. :)

The article reminded me how difficult it was to get to Tribeca in the months after 9/11. They really stuck it out. Now they have to deal with a huge construction project on Chambers. Their deliveries have to be walked over from W Broadway or Greenwich. When I have an order, I call and let them know I'm on my way. When I get to W Broadway, I call and a stock guy or salesman walks it over. Not at all convenient, but they always have a smile.

As Mike S. points out, at this point CSW has a loyal enough customer base (including both of us) that their business is probably less vulnerable to petty annoyances than many retailers. Still, their customer service is second to none.

I need to get me there.

I was poking around on their site and found this interesting wine at Chambers:

Terry Theise 2010 Reading Between The Wines
white medium-sweet | 13 in stock | $24.95 $18.99

From what I know of this, white is appropriate but medium sweet?

Kelly -

Definitely worth stopping in there the next time you're in Manhattan. Incredible store with a wonderful staff.
