WTN: The Wolftrap Rose 2010

WO Western Cape
Boekenhoutskloof

A blend of Syrah (66 per cent), Cinsault (20) and Grenache (14).

Bright, light cherry red in the glass.

Fresh, spicy, fruity nose.

Medium weight, apple, raspberry, a hint of orange, very tangy, clean, fresh, juicy, good acidity.

Clean, lightly mouthwatering on the finish.

Delicious. Was a bit surprised to see a rose weigh in at 13.5 per cent alcohol!

Went very well with a salad supper on the back deck.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).
