Hey, I've got a moldering bottle (a humorous gift, of course) of Italian wine with Elvis on the label, too. Let me know if you get a quote, David.

I've had a couple of unsolicited freebies over the years. Can't really justify them on QPR, although the bottle collectibility might offset the high retail somewhat. Just on tasting, though, without considering value, I've found them decent Cal Merlot. I couldn't honestly dismis them as "crap."

I have a bottle of that '87 that I picked up on release, strictly for the label. It still has the $5.99 price tag on it.

I've tasted a few vintages of the Marilyn Merlot. While I certainly wouldn't pay $130 for it, after about 5 years of bottle age it makes a quite decent Merlot. I do have two full bottles that I am holding for the (potential) collector value.

So when will we see Brigitte Bordeaux or Marcel Meursault on the market?

Does Saintsbury still produce Vincent Vin Gris?

I knew that, but I thought the public was over it by now. I'm surprised the interest has been broad enough to support this for this long.

There's been a pretty much continuous trade in them on eBay. I check in periodically to see what I might get for my '87. Prices seem to have dropped slightly - I probably should have sold it a couple of years ago.
