Tonight was trip prep, but Betsy still found time to make chiclen schnitzel over herb salad, and Indian glazed carrots. Dinner on the patio, and 2 friends joined us for tutorials on watering and Lucy care, and shared in the wine:
2004 Nigl "Privat" Gruner Veltliner
Big, almost lush, but with firm acidic backbone. Sweet peas, Fuji apple, white pepper, great length. No hurry, but this is nice. A-
1996 Schloss Schonborn Hochheimer Daubhaus Riesling Spatlese
Petrol, apples (maybe hint of browning apples), just a bit of sugar, a hint of mineral but this isn't too exciting.. B-/C+
