Jacky Charpentier Champagne Brut Prestige NV
60% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay; 2006 and 2007 reserve wines; 7 g/l dosage

A quite persistent mousse.
Dried apricot, almond meal, earth and minerality (cold river pebble/limestone) on the nose.
A silky palate with effervescence that runs throughout the palate, great balance, roundness, earth, a touch of phenolics, and a lemony finish. As is loses dissolved CO2, the aromas become clearer and the round silkiness is emphasised, and yet it maintains some effervescence.

This is very good NV Champagne and good VFM. Drunk with pizza on this occasion, but next time I'd go for a fine yet firm fleshed white fish or scallops with delicate accompaniments.

Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
