My wife and I took a trip to Kingston on Saturday and had lunch at a new (to us) restaurant: Luke's!
We both ordered the charcuterie platter, which proved to be a perfect match for the wine.
Thick and rich in the mouth, stewed cherry fruit, smoky, leathery, earthy, a touch of dark chocolate bitterness. Clings to the side of the wine glass, turning it pink.
A perfect wine for a perfect meal on a cold, windy, rainy day.
