60% Sangiovese; 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Solid, high-quality natural cork closure. Maremma Toscana - indicazione geografica tipica. Spent 1 year in Slavonian oak.

13% alc./vol. Dark garnet core with garnet edges. Big black-cherry/spicy nose, very Italian, with some secondary band-aidy and savoury aromas. Brisk and dry on the entry; crisp and food-friendly, with wonderful structure: it's mainly acid-driven, but has a nice back-up of tannin, probably from the Cabernet component. Chewy texture on the mid-palate, though fresh and lively at the same time. Elegant spicy backup from the oak; no perfumey aromas, just savoury backup.

Definitely a very pleasant wine at a good price.
