WTN: Molino Ausario Dolcetto D'Alba 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Wed Jun 29, 2011 9:17 am

Pidemont

Dark red-light purple in the glass.

Spicy, plummy on the nose.

Medium weight, raspberry, cranberry, cherry, quite full and plump in the mouth, spicy, high acidity, juicy, red licorice, quite rich, peppery, round, with a hint of chocolate.

Quite gulpable.

Tangy, mouthwatering, drying, with a mild bitter bite on the finish.

Very enjoyable.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

Your Dolcetto sounds a lot better than the one I opened this past weekend! Stay tuned.

Bruce, nice description which catches the essence of good Dolcetto.
