WTN: The White Viognier 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:44 am

South Eastern Australia
Berton Vineyards

Light, bright, yellow in the glass.

Peach, apricot and spicy on the nose.

Medium weight, apricot, peach, a hint of orange, very rich and intense, zippy acidity, refreshing, fleshy, creamy, clean, with a mild bitter citrus rind bite.

Apricot on the mouthwatering finish.

A dumb name for a wine, but have enjoyed this over a number of vintages.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $15.95 (Canadian).

I've had a Blue Franc (WA Lemberger made in CA) - http://www.wineloverspage.com/forum/village/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=34657
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
