AC Margaux

Decanted for about 20 minutes before the meal.

Medium dark red, with browning at the edges.

Back olives, earthy, leather, cherry, smoky, tarry on the nose.

Medium weight, dried cherry, black olives, floral, rather delicate, tangy acidity, beef broth, dried and drying.

With time, the wine became a bit sharper, but still tasty.

Drying, lightly mouthwatering, tarry, black olives, earthy on the fairly long finish.

Obviously, this wine is a bit past it, but I found that it still had some interesting things to say to me.
