WTN: Red Knot Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Shingleback Vineyards
McLaren Vale

Very dark purple in the glass.

Dark cherry, raspberry, leather, some tannic grip on the nose.

Medium weight, soft tannin, cherry, raspberry, drying, tarry, spicy, with a touch of heat toward the end.

Drying, grippy on the finish.

The website indicates that the Red Knot line is made for immediate consumption, which I find odd given the tannins I found. I woul think the wine would improve with six to 12 months in a cellar.

Zork closure.
