DOCa Rioja
A blend of Viura and Malvasia.
Bright yellow in the glass.
Vanilla, spicy, pear on the nose.
Medium weight, creamy, vanilla, pear, lemon, rich, good tangy citrus peel acidity, a nice mouthfeel, peppery.
Mouthwatering, lemon rind on the finish.
The first glass was quite creamy, heavy, with lots of vanilla, then the zippy lemon rind kicked in.
The wine was fermented on its lees in new French oak.
Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian) and a good value.
