The last of my tasting notes from our Willamette Valley winery tour in May.

Stone Wolf winery

Muller Thurgau 2009
Very pale straw. Funky-earthy nose. Midpalate is citrusy with fresh acidity. Medium finish.

Chardonnay 2009 12.55 abv

Pale yellow Light pear nose with some spiciness. Green apple fruit and good acidity on the midpalate with nice medium finish.

Penner-Ash winery

Vigonier 2010 13.5% abv $30 bottle

Pale yellow. Expressive nose of ripe pineapple and mango. Sharp acidity with juicy tropical fruit on the midpalate. Medium acidic fruit finish. Nice wine.

Argyle winery

Brut 2007 12.55 abv $27
Nice straw color. Yeasty lemon nose. Medium mousse. Midpalate has slightly sweet homemade lemonade notes and smooth but detectable tannins. Medium finish. 63% chard, 37% pinot noir

Blanc de blancs 2006 100% chard, Dijon clone
Light yellow. Rich lemon custard nose with some oak. Medium fine mousse. Midpalate has rich caramel taste with some residual sweetness. Medium to long finish of acidic fruit and some tannic twang. Nice balance.

Winderlea winery

Chardonnay 2008 13.5% abv (blend from different vineyards)
Pale lemon yellow. Light oak and lemony nose. Light fruit and good acidity on the midpalate with smooth tannins. Light to medium bodied with a medium finish.
