WTN: Fritz's Riesling 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Mon Jun 06, 2011 9:13 am

Gunderloch
QbA Rheinhessen

Good rich yellow in the glass.

Honey, spicy, apple on the nose.

Medium weight, juicy, fleshy ruby grapefruit, green apple, a hint lof lemon, spicy, lots of honey, good tangy acidity, rich.

Very mouthwatering, honey, tart green apple on the fairly long finish.

Rather simple and fat but very easy drinking.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).

There has been a dearth of Gunderloch wines lately in Ontario, so I was delighted to see this offering pop up.
