Domaine Servin, Chablis, 'les Pargues', 2008
Apply-lemon-minty with a calcium finish, sharp and acidic. Nice and refreshing. Under Stevin cap and 25-bucks. B+

Jasmin, Cote Rotie, 2001
At 10 years, thought it time to check in on this and not sure if I awakened it from a winter slumber or it's just too young, but it did not show well. Bretty, tart plums, and acid wash in an undelightful way that is neither charming nor refreshing. Pretty much 'Yuck,', however, the next day this comes around a bit, opening up with less of the Brettanomyces and a bit softer and more flavorful instead of simply pincushion acidity. Judgment reserved.

Domaine Charvin, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 2008
Drinking very nicely now, if on the young side: deep plums and charred peaches on the nose, with heady kirsch, musky rose oil. Quite elegant and nice for it's restraint. The second day, tannins show more and the alcohol comes through a little more. Still, nice wine. A-
