DO Cariñena

A blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo.

Dark purple in the glass

Spicy, oak, floral, smoke, sweet berry fruit on the nose,

Medium weight, very tangy and tart, mouthwatering, plum, cherry, raspberry, chocolate, charred, turning quite bitter with time.

Mouthwatering and bitter on the finish.

The wine started out nice, but time and-or air exposure was not kind, revealing, bitter and charred notes and very tart acidity.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
