Sunday Chat

by James Roscoe » Sat May 28, 2011 6:36 pm

It is Memorial Day Weekend in the USA. This is the traditional start to summer for Americans. I suspect many of our regulars will be spending the afternoon away from their computers. The Prince will be driving back from Charleston SC where he helped his daughter move from one apartment to another and ate some good Low Country food and drank some nice beer and wine. What is going on in your world? Come to chat and share. Here are the times when the fun gets started: at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time; 3 p.m. Central Tim=e; 2 p.m. Mountain Time; 1 p.m. Pacific Time; 9 p.m. in the UK; 10 p.m. in Italy, France, Germany, and Sweden; 11 p.m. in Finland and Israel; 6 a.m. Monday in Sydney and environs; and 8 a.m. Monday in New Zealand. Let me know if my times are wrong.

Just because the Prince ain't here doesn't mean you can't have fun. It all starts HERE!!!!!!
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Hmm. Regarding Memorial Day: it's the day when our grandmothers agreed it was OK to wear white. This Memorial Day, however, the white I'll be wearing when I go out here at Lake Tahoe isn't clothing, it's SNOW!! :( :? However, it may provide an excuse to stay inside and drink more wine. I have a nice Sanford Pinot Noir . . .

Doubt that I'll make it today. Will someone take notes for me? :)

Anders will be crestfallen, and perhaps just go to bed early! Wait, he isn't in Italy is he?

Hi Suzanne,

I haven't had every California pinot, but I've had a bunch. Of those I have had the Sanford is my favorite. It seems that the winemaker there simply get everything the grape has to offer and does it vtg by vtg. Too bad though what has happened to the price.

Hi, all.

Is this a wine chat? A social chat? A specific topic chat?

Thanks!

Kete, there is never a subject or agenda in our chats. We have the one on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 and then again on Wednesday evening at 9:30 pm. Someone is almost always in the room by 9 on wed. Sometimes we seem more like a colony of ants than people what with everyone talking at once. :D We would love to have you join us either time.

Thanks for the explanation and invitation, Bob. I just might pop in some night.
