WTN: Mas Des Bressades Cuvee Tradition Rose 2010

by Bruce Hayes » Tue May 17, 2011 9:47 am

AC Costières de Nîmes

A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault.

A rather odd dark pink hue in the glass.

Earthy, spicy, rich fruit on the nose.

Light to medium bodied, earthy, a light bitter bite, cherry, raspberry, good acidity, refreshing, rather simple.

Earthy-bitter streak on the finish.

Given this winery's track record, I was rather disappointed with this wine. It was correct and there was nothing really wrong with it, but it failed to interest or excite me.

I also found it odd that a rose would weigh in at 13.5 per cent alcohol.

Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian),
