DO Ribera del Júcar

100 per cent Tempranillo.

Very dark red in the glass.

Floral, vanilla, spicy, roasted, rich blueberry fruit on the nose.

Medium weight, chocolate, black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, tangy acidity, tarry, perfumed, rich, juicy, quite big, light to moderate tannins, picking up some roasted notes with some time.

Drying tannins, cherry, floral, black olives on the fairly long finish.

A rather impressive wine that, IMHO, is a candidate for short-term cellaring.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian) and a good QPR.
