Tried this last night w/ my RadicchioGratin:
1. Ojai Chard ClosPepeVnyd/StaRitaHills (14.0%) 2008: Med.light gold color; lovely clean/melony/appley/Chard light smokey/oak/nutmeg/spicy some minerally/chalky nose; fairly tart rich light nutmeg/smokey/tobaccoy/oak bright/vibrant/melony/appley/Chard spicy/apple pie/all-spice balanced flavor; very long light nutmeg/tobbacoy/oak very melony/appley/Chard quite spicy/apple pie bit minerally/chalky clean/vibrant finish; a lovely clean/crisp/balanced Chard that's loaded w/ flavor; some like the StonyHill's of yore; should go out 10 yrs or so.

1. Adam has been dialing back his Chards somewhat over the last few yrs. Thiis don't play well in Monktown. Some of his recent whites have a lot of acidity, almost on the screechy side. This wine was definitely not one of those. The wine had a good/bright acidity to it. But it was not at all of the eviscerated/green style and packed w/ flavor. Should be, given the acidity, much better in a few yrs. Lovely Chard.
