WTN: 2001 Edmunds St. John Rocks and Gravel

From Steve Edmunds' recent library release, opened with roast lamb, potatoes and green beans. Drinking oh so well now - seamless and harmonious, combining red fruits with developed leathery, earthy and herbal elements with a lightness of touch and perfect balance. Brilliant wine. Thank you Steve!

(The 07 Old Black Magic was also opened and it was quite wonderful as well - obviously more primary and fruit-driven than the 01 R&G, but showing the same seamlessness and sheer drinkability.)

No matter how much we bought it wasn't enough.
