WTN: James Oatley Tic Tok Sauvignon Blanc 2009

by Bruce Hayes » Sun May 01, 2011 7:12 pm

Pemberton, Frankland River (90 per cent) and Mudgee
Robert Oatley Vineyards

Light yellow in the glass.

Gooseberry, lemon on the rich nose.

Medium weight, bracing, zippy acidity, lemon, grapefruit, lime, gooseberry, spicy, juicy and fleshy, honey, rich, clean and refreshing, mouthfilling.

Mouthwatering, peppery, lemon, citrus rind on the fairly long finish

Screwcap closure.

A pleasing wine.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

From what I can glean from the Web, this is the same Robert Oatley who once owned Rosemount. After selling, he has started up this value wine enterprise.
