May Wine Focus topic?

I know we threw around Pinot Noir during our pre-April thread, but let's hear it. What do you all want to do?

Pinot Noir works for me. I have more PN than any other "store-bought" wine, from Ontario, NY and OR. In fact, I may bring one to the Jeebus.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

Loves me some Pinot Noir! Are we talking about worldwide, or any sub-category? "Pinot that doesn't taste like Syrah" would work for me. ;)

I favour breaking down the subject. Burgundy would IMO be well worth a WF of its own some time in the future. How about Pinot noir, excluding Burgundy?

Or an even sharper focus, such as Pinot noir in Rest of Europe (excl. Burgundy) or New World Pinot noir? I suppose availability could be an issue in some places for either of these options. For me other Europe is not a big problem and, from the New World, I could get supermarket PN from the likes of Concha y Toro but the better stuff from America and New Zealand is a difficult search.

I would have no issue of "Pinot Noir outside of Burgundy" for May and then perhaps a revisit to Burgundy another time.

I'm fine with that. We haven't focused on Burgundy for some time so it should get it's own center place later in the year.

I may even play this month. Have a 2008 Grochau Cellars Willamette Valley that I want to try while it is still available locally.

Again, I'll suggest: How about a Pinot Family Reunion? Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, Sankt Laurent, Auxerrois, Pinotage, Frühburgunder...Samtrot
