Susan & I tried this last night:
1. Novy Zinfandel RRV (15.1%) 2009: Very dark color, near black; very strong blackberry/Zin/plummy spicy/earthy/licorice very light/pencilly/oak nose; soft rich/lush plummy/blackberry/Zin/black cherry soda/spicy light pencilly/oak mouthfilling flavor w/ light tannins; long soft very strong blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/licorice/plummy light pencilly/oak slight earthy finish w/ light tannins; loads of juicy blackberry fruit w/o being jammy; a bit lacking in structure but a really tasty Zin for over the next few yrs; great price at $16.50.
