Bodegas Heredad de Baroja, Rioja, Spain 13% abv. Very dark purple color with scarlet rim; nearly opaque. Fruit starting to fade at this point; probably better a couple years ago. Still some dark fruitskin noes and slight tannins. Okay with red meat. I have a few more bottles of Baroja Tempranillos and think I held on to them too long although the Gran Reserva may still be okay.

JC - is Gran Reserva made only in the best years and is that why it might be better?
