2009 Pierre Gonon Les Iles Feray Vin de Pays del’Ardeche
100% Syrah. Very dark. Nice meaty, bacon bouquet. Medium-bodied with juicy, sweet, ripe red and blue fruit … gobs of them. Low tannin. Acidity? Not at the level that I would like. I purchased 2 bottles and glad that I did, but somehow not as excited about opening the remaining. B-

2009 Eric Texier Cotes du Rhone Blanc
This is a simple, easy-to-drink CdR blanc with notes of pineapple, kiwi, and white peach. Ripe fruit with nice balance. Nothing too complex to have to ponder much over. Long and tasty at the finish. The quality, imho, slightly exceeds the price that I paid. B+
