Cantina Terlan Sauvignon Quarz 2008
Thanks to Oliver. Pale gold. Nicely concentrated, dominant stinging nettle, underlined by white plum and apple. Nicely firm. Quite unique, pure and complex minerality. Nice body. Integrated 13.5% alcohol. Healthy acidity, tiny bitter and white pepper notes on the finish. Medium-plus length. Nice Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc. Rating: 90(+?)

Bruno Giacosa Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba 1998
Thanks to Oliver. Nice ruby-red-black. Spicy, a bit broth cube meat-like cherry. Tiny marzipan. Soft tobacco. Partly dried rose-hip. Faintly truffley. Flavourful, finely grained tannin. Soft to medium blood-orangey acidity. Lovely harmony. Beautiful wine, more evolved and approachable than expected. More tea-like tannin, longer and more harmonious with airing. Rating: 92(-?)

Bruno Giacosa Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba 1999
Thanks to Oliver. Slightly deeper ruby-black. More youthful than the 1998, as Oli notes. Longer, too. A bit more concentrated I thought. A bit more purity and cut perhaps. Greater complexity. A touch more minerally. A bit smokier, tarrier and oakier. Slightly harder, a tiny bit grainier, but also racier tannin. Medium-dried rose petal. Firm fruit finish. Deserves more time in bottle. Rating: 92+/93(+?)

Greetings from Switzerland, David.
