A blend of Chardonnay (58 per cent), Pinot Noir (35) and 7 per cent of still Pinot Noir.

Light pink-orange-copper in the glass.

Strawberry on the nose.

Good mousse. Many streams of fine bubbles.

Medium weight, crisp, raspberry, strwberry, plum, good acidity, very clean, nutty, with a bitter-earthy streak.

With time, the bitter-earthy streak grew in intensity, becoming, IMHO, a tad annoying.

Mouthwatering, tangy, light strawberry on the finish.

One of the most interesting aspects of this wine, to me, was the distinctive bottle shape: quite wide at the base, tapering upward to a very skinny neck; almost like a bowling pin.

Due to the strong bitter-earthy streak, I must confess that I didn't love this wine.

Purchased at $79.95 (Canadian).
