WTN: 2004 Wellington Zinfandel

This comes from Sonoma. Dark purple red in color, cherry, chocolate, faint acetone nose. A little rustic for the initial few sips, then smoothed out very nicely, red fruits, easy drinking Zinfandel. Great foil to El Pollo Loco! :D

Thanks for that note - I haven't had any Wellington wine in some time. I've always liked their lineup, with the Noir de Noirs being my favorite.

I was at Wellington in April '09 and they were having a sale on the '04 Cab. I got half a dozen as part of a mixed case and got their case-lot sale price of $12/bottle. :-) I still have a couple left. It was a steal! I liked it very much, though the last bottle I opened was in August '09. (I gave a couple of bottles away.)
I'll have to put it on the mental list.
