I think my first ever Bone Jolly is in order as it warms up outside.

How about you!?

It's cooling down here! Back into the 40's in the daytime and as low as 30's at night! I have a California Chardonnay open right now but may open a 2001 Gilles-Jourdan Cote de Nuits-Villages "La Robignotte" this weekend. It just arrived so maybe I should let it rest a couple weeks but saw a note that it may need to be consumed in the next few months. If I don't open that, I may open a Williams-Selyem Pinot Noir--just got in my spring shipment and need to open some of the older vintages (2004-2006) to make room for the more recent ones in the cooler storage.

There is Chenin Noir and Barolo in my future! Can anyone spell Chenin Noir's more common name?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I've organized a tasting with a 1896 Madeira for tomorrow. Will report back of course.

Last night's "pre-agenda" wine with pizza was a Kenwood 2001 Jack London Zin that was funky, maybe buggy, so I popped a 2004 Valley of the Moon Barbera. Then opened a 2002 Clos Pegase Petite Sirah Port while sitting by the fire because it's raining again/still.
Tomorrow is spaghetti Bolognese using the leftover Barbera in the sauce. I'll try another '01 Kenwood Zin.
