Viognier Clones???

by TomHill » Wed Mar 23, 2011 9:57 am

You don't hear much about Viognier clones. Recently read (Peay newsletter) about their Geneva & Condrieu clones they have planted. TablasCreek brought in two Viognier clones from Beaucastel. The original Roussanne (via Randall) is another Viognier clone. Alban says to have multiple clones.
Has anybody sorted this all out or can point to a good reference??

I have only started looking for similar info as I am planning to put some in next year and I have found almost nothing on the subject. If you do find something either post or send me a PM as I would appreciate it also.

Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
