WTN: Napa Valley GOTT 5 and GOTT 6

I have found that the GOTT x Cabernet Sauvignon were some of the best value wines. Both the GOTT 5 and GOTT 6 retail for about $32. The GOTT 5 was one of the more perfect Cabernet I have had in years. The color was a beautiful, brilliant ruby red - crystal clear. The legs were enormous. The bouquet was so easy to detect. Tannins were evident but very tamed. There was everything from cassis, oak, smoke and cherry hints. The wine was rich and big with a beautiful long lasting finish.

I recently tasted the GOTT 6. The wine had all the qualities of the GOTT 5, but the Tannins were a bit high. I think given a few more years, this wine could turn out to be better than the GOTT 5

New wines to me. Are these Joel Gott? If so, substantial price increase over what I;ve seen from him- is this the equivalent of a luxury cuvee? Vintages? Thanks for any info

I'm familiar with Gott's Amador/El Dorado wines, but haven't seen a cab. Where is the fruit sourced from, Ron?

You know I am not totally sure.
I know he uses grapes grown exclusively in Napa, but he does use a mix of different areas to pull his wines together.
I tried to look at their spec sheet to see if there was any more details

I believe Joel Gott started this Napa Valley wine line with the 2003 harvest, hence the name Gott 3. (Gott 5- 2005 vintage; Gott 6 - 2006 vintage and so on).
