2005 Domaine Robert Arnoux Bourgogne Pinot Fin
Still fairly tight, this needs about an hour to give up more than just some tart cherry flavors. Air brings depth, and that depth offsets the tart fruit. It's still to early for this, but I wanted to check in. Revisit in another year.

Um... why are you opening '05 Burgs? And what exactly is Pinot Fin?

Pinot Fin is an old, old version of Pinot Noir (versus more recent clones).

I opened it because I wanted to. Tonight I was rewarded with something that tasted like Pinot!

Is there any noticeable difference between the flavour/textural profile of Pinot Fin and what you've tasted from more recent clones?
