WTN: Teliani Valley Tsinandali 2007

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Mar 13, 2011 5:04 pm

Kakheti, Georgia

100 per cent Rkatsiteli

Rather light yellow in the glass.

Quite spicy on the nose, with a hint of citrus rind.

Light to medium weight, toast, caramel, rich, juicy, spicy, a hint of pear, good acidity, clean, with a very light bitter bite toward the end.

Toast on the mouthwatering finish.

A wine that showed better a little warmer.

Purchased at $11.95 (Canadian).

Hi Bruce -

Thank you for the note. I have tried a few wines from Teliani Valley, but have not had their Tsinandali yet. Have you tried any other Georgian wines yet, and if so, what are your thoughts on them?

This was the first and, so far, only wine I have had from Georgia.
