WTN: Errazuriz Max Reserva Shiraz 2008

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:53 pm

Vina Errazuriz
Valle De Aconcagua

Dark purple, verging on black, in the glass.

Rich, chocolate, sweet, juicy berry fruit, perfumed, some alcohol, on the rich nose.

Fairly weighty in the mouth, thick, black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, peppery, charred notes, tarry, good acidity, spicy, some alcohol burn, perfumed, tannic, chocolate,

Drying, rich and sweet berry fruit on the fairly long finish.

Would have been better if it had been a little smoother. Perhaps better in a year to 18 months.

Purchased on sale at $15.95 (Canadian).
