Just leaving Edmonton, AB

Bob P,

I came in quickly to Edmonton last night and am leaving before I've been here for a full 24 hours and one thing I noticed this time that i've never noticed before..(and I use to work in Gibbons, AB....) ....THERE ARE A WHOLE H$LL LOT OF LIQUOR STORES HERE!!

There are more liquor store, liquor depots, liquor superstores, liquor and wines, etc than there are Starbucks in Toronto!!

And the great thing about them is that they all seem to have a GREAT scotch selection! Even the airport wine store is pretty good (save for the prices....)

I guess I use to drink a lot in those cold AB nights too......

Bob,

The Cold...and it was cold....must have impacted my short term memory.... :) ...-21 degrees Celcius without the wind....and there was lots of wind.

I stayed up in the NW (at the Hilton Garden Inn near 178th across from a nice little restaurant called Chop.) Meetings were downtown in the Scotia complex. :)

They were using three tractor plows to take the snow off the sidewalks back onto the streets so that a MASSIVE lineup of 18 wheelers could take the snow away.
