WTN: 2004 Clos du Marquis

by Salil » Sun Feb 13, 2011 11:21 pm

A core of primary black fruits with tinges of coffee and earth, slightly astringent on the back end and completely boring.

Maybe it'll become more interesting with time (after this, I'm certainly not rushing to open my other bottle), but right now it only has me wondering why I didn't buy more Raffault or Baudry Chinon instead of this. Yawn.

This is always a problem when buying Bordeaux, Burgundy and the like. It's just so easy to think of the great Loire value. So, I try not to think!

Expecting aged complexity from 7 year old Bordeaux?
