WTN: 2008 Ch. St. Michelle Cab. "Indian Wells"

I opened this red with barbaque ribs tonight. It had 4 hrs. of decant time and could have used a few more. Med-deep purple in color with a muted nose at first that blossomed later, the palate was med.-full of nice black and a bit of red fruit but not much of a cassis note. This wine evolved over an hour to smooth out and open up further to reveal nice spicy, smooth black fruit. I think I paid $18 and at this price I'd buy again but it can probably be found for much less.

Go-to wine for big (as in many people) business dinners - reasonable price & everyone likes it (except the hopelessly geeky - like me).

Jim, high teens is about the going price for this one. You can find non-Indian Wells designated cabernet from Ste. Michelle (or 'Michy' as we call it up here) for $10-12ish.
