1999 Marques de Griñon Dominio de Valdepusa Syrah (Montes de Toledo) 14.5% abv. This is surprisingly good. Surprising because I was expecting a more modern travesty. Ya it's fairly modern but the oak is under control and there are all sorts of yummy aromas and flavors of anise, black licorice, dark fruit, and spice with a hint of toasty oak. The palate is big and juicy and the tannins are pretty well integrated at this point.
