Attention all Malbec Hounds! `09 Achaval-Ferrer?

Yup big supporter of all things A-F and I hear the tug-boat has arrived in Vancouver! However it seems that the newly released `09 Mendoza Malbec is not up to snuff which is rather surprising.
Anyone here tasted yet, maybe you have heard some other news? Change of winemaker, poor vintage conditions, who knows what`s going on. Please tell!

So Bob.... did you get around to tasting this? I havent tasted it myself.... Ive been selling almost no Achaval Ferrer these past few years. There have not been any important changes that I can report of... I would know if that was the case. Winemaker is still Roberto Cipresso....

I have a trade tasting on Monday, Feb 7th for southern hemisphere wines and the Achaval-Ferrer is on the list. I am also hoping that the people from Cape Classics from South Africa will be there. I used to sell a far amount of there wines until they changed distributors. I have not had a chance to taste them for a while.
