Pauillac

Decanted about 30 minutes before dinner.

Medium dark red, with browning at the edges.

Smoky, earthy, herbs, lightly floral on the nose.

Medium weight, black olives, cherry, earthy, a light bitter streak, good acidity, tea, beef broth, leather, drying.

Tarry, spicy, tangy and black olives on the long finish.

With time the wine became a little thin and sharp.

Enjoyable overall.
