I have gone thru a few bottles of this wine and since all seem equally fine, I'll make this my new house red. It is the
2008 Apothic "Red" with a mere California appelation and a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Merlot at %13.1 abv. I must admit there may be a bit of RS in this wine but the balance,good acidity, lack of volatility ,depth of fruit (sweet cherry and black raspberry) and clean finish make this a very appealing, quaffable wine for $10.00. I could see having a couple cases of this on hand.
