About an hour in the glass. Quite dark. Sweet, meaty nose with a little heat and some dried herbs. Also a touch of creamy oak. Coffee, leather, chocolate. Roast meat. Very dry but sweetness comes out with some food. Sour cherry acidity. Stood up well enough to some spicy wings. Impressive length. Starts out pretty soft but air brings out the tannins. Maybe needs a couple of more years to smooth the tannins. Very good, but rather straightforward wine at this time.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
