My sister came to town for a between the holidays visit and we had a nice dinner Tuesday night with all the local relatives. My sister made Tortieres (pork pies) and I contributed turkey potpie and cream of asparagus soup. One of the wines opened was the 2004 Eyrie Pinot Noir, from the Williamette Valley, OR. I purchased this at the winery during one of my visits to the area to see Linda Lindsay and Chef Carey, but don’t recall the price. Deep color (for Pinot), scarlet with no purple or brown hues. Generous nose of red fruit, cigar box and a hint of earthiness (mushroom). Long, full finish of juicy acidity and soft tannins. Excellent wine.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
